
Above is our first dinner in Hangzhou. It's a big wok filled with broth, pieces of chicken, some strange slightly pickled crunchy vegetable that looked halfway between celery and asparagus, and bunches of long-stemmed skinny mushrooms wrapped with thinly sliced pieces of beef.

This is the beer we had with dinner. If you look closely at the red lettering, you'll see the main selling point of the beer! "Free from formaldehyde"! Isn't that great?
